BMG Production Music (BMGPM) has announced the promotions of UK executives Alex Marchant, Ciaran McNeaney and Sam Delves to global roles.
Following BMGPM’s acquisition of the UK-based production music company Deep East Music (DEM) last year, it is promoting DEM owners and co-founders Alex Marchant and Ciaran McNeaney to new key international roles, respectively director of global marketing and director of global production, effective immediately.
An official press release stated that, "They take on these new roles while remaining responsible for the day-to-day operations of Deep East Music which continues to run as a separate operation to the main BMG Production Music operation in London.”
Marchant will establish a London-based department that will further develop the BMGPM strategy in this area, as well as support the local marketing initiatives of all BMGPM territories. Also based in London, McNeaney will oversee BMGPM’s new music production in all territories: UK, US, France, Germany, The Netherlands and Australia.
The executives will report to John Clifford, SVP Global - Sales, Marketing & Repertoire.
The respective music production teams in each of these territories will continue to manage day-to-day production of the company’s new music.
Additionally, and effective immediately, Sam Delves has been promoted to manager – global marketing and will report to Marchant.
Commenting on the promotions, John Clifford, SVP global - sales, marketing & repertoire, BMG Production Music said: “Alex and Ciaran bring a wealth of experience to BMG Production Music, having built their own successful business and with previous experience at other production music companies, they both understand the vital grass-roots link between music production and marketing. I’m looking forward to working closely with them, to take their knowledge, experience and lessons learned in building Deep East, and scaling this expertise to the advantage of BMG Production Music globally. Sam has continually proven his ability to create engaging marketing content for BMG’s Production Music business, both in the UK and internationally, so I am pleased that he will join Alex as a vital part of the new Global Marketing Team.”
