3 Beat has signed Afrobeat artist Geko to an exclusive worldwide publishing agreement. He is already on the 3 Beat label roster.
The long-term publishing deal includes Geko’s songs to date as well as a number of future albums or EPs.
Geko joins a number of acts that 3 Beat has signed from its recording roster to its publishing arm, including Callum Beattie and High Contrast.
Geko’s current single, 6:30, has been streamed more than 10 million times in the UK and 15 million times worldwide.
3 Beat A&R manager, Sam Adebayo, said: “Geko is a great talent, and one I believe will go on to have a long-term career. He is a phenomenal writer that has a great awareness of hit melodies. We are looking forward to the future with him.”
3 Beat founder, Jon Barlow, said: “3 Beat as a label has a roster full of career artists, and incredible songwriters. We have great confidence in everything they do, and representing them as both recording artists and writers feels like a natural progression.”
The label’s roster includes Sigma, Kungs, Martin Jensen and M-22.
