Jacqueline O’Leary has been named creative director at Beggars Music.
O’Leary reports to Beggars Music chairman Andy Heath. The appointment was made following Amy Morgan’s departure for September Management, as reported by Music Week earlier this year.
O’Leary joins from Downtown Music Publishing, where she served as senior A&R manager.
Before joining Downtown, O’Leary was creative director for Roc Nation’s joint venture with Warner Chappell. O’Leary has also worked at Sony/ATV and began her career at EMI Music Publishing, rising to senior A&R manager.
Beggars Music works in partnership with XL Recordings, 4AD, Matador, Rough Trade, Stolen and Young Turks.
Its roster includes Mercury Prize-winning artist Sampha, while Deerhunter, Cat Power, Steve Gunn and Pixx are among its recent campaigns. Rising South London act Obongjayar is also signed to Beggars Music.
