UK DJ, producer and remixer Jonas Blue signed a publishing deal with Universal Music.
Competition for Blue’s signature has been fierce, with his track Fast Car the biggest selling single both in the UK and globally from a debut British artist in 2016, selling over 1.6 million singles in the UK alone.
The song has sold over 5.2 million adjusted singles globally, going 5x Platinum in both the Netherlands and Sweden and Platinum in the UK.
Alongside Fast Car, Perfect Strangers has reached 2x Platinum in Sweden and Ireland, totalling two million adjusted sales globally. Overall, Jonas Blue has been streamed over 950 million times in both audio and video.
Aaron Ross, Blue’s manager, said: “In universal publishing we found a partner that we feel is completely in tune with our creative vision. For us they have the very best global team that are fully engaged and committed to the project at the highest level.”
