Metropolis Studios in partnership with MIDEM has set the dates for the second annual edition of London Sync Sessions.
Taking place from September 28-29 at London’s Metropolis Studios, the sessions aim to offer attendees the chance to hear from prominent executives on the role synchronisation has to play across the music, film and TV industries.
Speakers and panellists confirmed so far include representatives from Sony Music and Ninja Tune, as well as music supervisors that have worked on film and television series such as Absolutely Fabulous, Deadpool, The Theory Of Everything, Call The Midwife and Luther. There will also be panels led by Spotify, the BBC and Pusher Music.
Ian Brenchley, CEO Metropolis Studios, commented: “Last year’s inaugural Sync Sessions were an absolute success and we are delighted to be bringing it back for 2016.”
Music Week is the official media outlet for the event, which precedes the return of the Music Week Sync Awards, taking place on October 20 at London’s Bloomsbury Ballroom.
Now in its third year, the event invites the UK industry to come together to celebrate the best work, individuals and teams across a dynamic and increasingly important sector of the music industry.
Winners on the night will be selected from the ranks of record companies, publishers, sync teams and music supervisors, as well as the worlds of broadcast and advertising.
Each of the awards is judged by specialist panels according to a mixture of both commercial and creative criteria.
