Sebek Sanyika has been promoted to president of Notting Hill Music. The LA-based exec, who was previously EVP of US Operations, is marking her 15th year at the publisher.
As part of the US restructuring, Andy McQueen moves to CEO in addition to his role as chairman. Notting Hill Music recently appointed Michael Garbutt as head of media.
The promotion for Sanyika is revealed in the latest issue of Music Week, along with Notting Hill’s publishing joint venture in the UK with specialist rock brand Uprawr.
Commenting on Sanyika’s appointment, McQueen told Music Week: “It reflects the esteem we hold her in. It’s been a tumultuous few years and Sebek brings a calming stability.”
Sanyika described Notting Hill as “unique company that operates with a big global reach”. The publisher has offices in LA, London and Nashville.

“One of the biggest challenges is navigating the ever-shifting changes in music driven by technology to ensure our writers are protected and benefited, that our catalogue is properly exploited, new licensing opportunities implemented, revenue streams driven, royalty collections accounted,” she told Music Week.
Notting Hill MD Dave loader added: “Sebek has been a key player since Notting Hill Music Group expanded into LA at the beginning of the noughties. Her driving enthusiasm and ambition to make us succeed has resulted in an appointment we can all be proud of and we all look forward to working with our new president for many years to come.”
