Primary Wave Music Publishing has announced their partnership with Gaither Music Group. According to an official press release, under the terms of the deal Primary Wave will “add resources to help expand the Gaither brand and develop new artists, as well as acquire strategic catalogues and assets to expand the company.”
Gaither Music Group is an international music label, publishing company, video production company, a concert tour platform, and more than a dozen other entities. It is one of the largest Christian music record label, known for its Gaither Gospel Series and is home to award-winning artists such as the Gaither Vocal Band, Joey+Rory, David Phelps, n Bradley Walker and more, including gospel projects by Josh Turner, Alabama and Alan Jackson. Also included in the new partnership is Green Hill Music, home to artists including Beegie Adair, David Arkenstone, Michael Omartian, Luke McMaster, Jack Jezzro and Orla Fallon as well as exclusive recordings by Jim Brickman, Olivia Newton-John and Mark Masri.
Following the partnership, the current team at Gaither Music Group will have access to the Primary Wave marketing team, branding team, digital team, publicity department, and publishing infrastructure which includes licensing and synch opportunities.
The executive team at Gaither will lead the expansion with Paul Sizelove staying on as president, Barry Jennings as vice chairman, and both Bill and Gloria Gaither continuing their creative roles within the company. Steve Moore, president of Moore Entertainment, brokered the conversation and will remain a consultant to the Gaither executive team.
