Sara Lord becomes SVP of sync in raft of Concord promotions

Concord is taking flight again, with Sara Lord becoming SVP, synchronisation & project development as part of a group of promotions across the indie’s global operations.

In this week’s Music Week, we exclusively revealed the US-based label and publisher’s plans to beef up its UK recorded music arm. And now CEO Scott Pascucci has promoted eight employees to VP level or above.

Highly-rated Lord is the only London-based promotion, which sees her raised from her previous VP role. She joined what was then Imagem in 2017 – prior to Concord’s acquisition of the publisher later that year. She previously ran her own management company. She will continue to concentrate on international sync ex-North America as well as developing new projects across branding, marketing, tech, film, TV and theatrical.

The other promotions are as follows: in New York, Lidia Kim becomes VP, legal & business affairs (from senior director) and Dana Siegel becomes SVP of marketing & catalogue development (from VP, marketing & business development).

In Los Angeles, Hazel Malit becomes SVP, accounting, recorded music (from VP); Joe McEwen becomes SVP, A&R (from VP); Brett Merritt becomes VP, project management (from senior director); and Carrie Smith becomes VP, creative services (from senior art director).

And in Nashville, Dawn Mueller becomes VP, copyright from senior director.

“Concord’s growth organically and by acquisition has allowed us to welcome hundreds of talented staff members to our team over the past three years,” said Pascucci. “This week we elevated 36 of them, eight of which were promoted to Vice President and above. These promotions are not only a sign of the passion and dedication of our global team, but also of the culture of opportunity that we are proud to have at Concord. Congratulations to all. I look forward to working with you in your new roles.”

Concord is shortlisted for Publisher Of The Year at next week’s Music Week Awards.
