Management company Various Artists is launching a publishing division.
A joint venture with Kobalt Music, the London-based Various Songs will be headed up-by George Shepherd.
Reverend And The Makers' Jon McClure and Ed Cosens and writer-producer Earl Saga have been confirmed as the publisher's first signings.
“Songwriting and production has always been at the heart of a lot of what we do as artist managers and putting in place a way that we can help nurture and develop both new and existing talent is a logical move for us," said Various Artists CEO David Bianchi, who co-founded the management company with Nick Ember and Matt Luxon in 2008 and currently includes La Roux, The Libertines, Supergrass, Tom Grennan and Barns Courtney on its roster.
"With Kobalt Music providing expertise, experience and infrastructure to this new venture and together I’m confident we will make a great team.”
Kobalt will administer Various Songs globally and will also oversee sync and exploitation for the publisher.
