Sony/ATV Music Publishing has today (July 18) appointed Thomas Krottinger as senior manager, International A&R.
Based in the company’s Los Angeles office, Krottinger takes up the newly-created position with immediate effect, reporting to both Sony/ATV president, worldwide creative, Guy Moot and senior vice president, co-head of West Coast A&R, Amanda Berman-Hill.
In this new role Krottinger will serve as the contact point for all the company’s international songwriters who are either based in Los Angeles or are visiting the city to write. His responsibilities will include pairing up songwriters and organizing writing sessions, arranging meetings between songwriters and industry contacts and pitching songs.
Speaking about the appointment, Guy Moot said: “Thomas will be an amazing addition to our team and we welcome him to this unique position. LA is undoubtedly a hub for all songwriters and especially our international writers. His arrival further strengthens our West Coast team’s ability to provide unrivalled service and opportunities for them, including setting up co-writing sessions and finding the best outlets for their songs. The world of songwriting is now truly international and we are best positioned to capitalize on this.”
Amanda Berman-Hill added: “At Sony/ATV we have always prided ourselves in giving our songwriters the highest-quality service, but this new role will take our support to another level. With LA now the epicenter of the songwriting world, Thomas is an important addition to the team here and will ensure any of our writers visiting or relocating to the city will have the best experience possible.”
