Pale Waves, Low Island and Ider are among over 30 emerging artists set to perform on the BBC Music Introducing stages at Reading and Leeds Festivals this year.
BBC Radio 1 DJ Huw Stephens announced the list last night (August 7), and 2017 marks 10 years of BBC Music Introducing hosting stages at Reading and Leeds, which this year takes place from 25-27 August.
Huw Stephens said: “Reading and Leeds is a huge deal for music fans and playing it is an even bigger deal. BBC Music Introducing is a really exciting part of the festival now, showcasing new talent that’s breaking through and championed by the shows that nominate them to play. You will see something new and awesome every time you stop by!”
With over 460,000 tracks uploaded to the BBC Music Introducing Uploader and 170,000 artists registered since it launched in 2007, BBC Music Introducing supports up and coming acts through BBC Radio 1, 1Xtra, Radio 2, 6 Music, Radio 3, Asian Network and World Service. It also provides artists with opportunities on television and online, as well as the chance to play at festivals and showcases.
Florence And The Machine, Catfish And The Bottlemen, Slaves, Jack Garratt, The 1975, Jake Bugg, Rae Morris, James Bay, Izzy Bizu and George Ezra are among the acts to have received support from the platform early on in their careers.

Reading, Friday, 25/Leeds, Saturday, 26: Avenoir, Brooke Bentham, Honey Arcade, Moses, Olly Chamberlain, Phundo Art, Plaza, Rale, Scott Quinn, Sugarman, The Golden Age Of TV and TOUTS.
Reading, Saturday, 26/Leeds, Sunday, 27: Cassia, Colouring, Dan Stock, Ider, Island, KOYO, Pale Waves, Playing House, Sœur, Too Many Ts, Verschieden and Will Sin For Love.
Leeds, Friday, 25/Reading. Sunday, 27: Alibi, Anna Straker, Chroma, Deadset Dream, Ginger Snaps, Honey Lung, Low Island, Mosa Wild, Penguin, Queen Zee and The Sasstones, Rock Bottom Risers, and The Pale White.
There will also be surprise performances each day on both sites.
