The BBC Music Sound Of 2018 longlist has been unveiled with a strong showing for pop acts.
Billie Eilish (Polydor), Alma (Virgin EMI) and Sigrid (Island) are among the emerging pop artists tipped for 2018, while urban music talent primed for success next year includes Yxng Bane (Disturbing London) and Not3s (Relentless).
Indie and alternative acts also make the grade, including Manchester band Pale Waves (Dirty Hit) and transatlantic eight-piece Superorganism (pictured), who are signed to Domino.
Universal Music has a strong showing in this year's selection with five label or distribution deals for Sound Of 2018 artists.
Sourced from 173 DJs, critics and industry experts, the Sound Of Poll first launched in 2003. Previous winners include Ray Blk, Years & Years, Sam Smith, Adele and Ellie Goulding.
The top five will be revealed from January 8 on Radio 1 and BBC News. The winner will be announced on January 12 during Clara Amfo's show on Radio 1.
