The BRITs is just hours away, so it’s time to start speculating about who’s going to win big.
Hosted by Jack Whitehall, the BRIT Awards 2019 take place tonight (February 20) at The O2 and will be broadcast live on ITV from 8pm. Performers including outstanding contribution recipient Pink, Hugh Jackman in his Greatest Showman finery and 2018 UK success stories George Ezra, Jorja Smith, Jess Glynne, The 1975 and Little Mix.
BPI and BRIT Awards chief executive Geoff Taylor is promising a “spectacular” show.
But will the right artists win? After an absence of controversy from this year’s Grammy results – no echo of the unlikely Bruno Mars victory year earlier – all eyes will be on the BRITs. Remember, Ed Sheeran lost out last year, so upsets are not unheard of.
Here, Music Week writers George Garner, Andre Paine, James Hanley, Ben Homewood, and PSNEurope editor Daniel Gumble make their predictions on the likely winners from this year's nominations…
