BRITs boost for Katy Perry, Bruno Mars and The 1975

Katy Perry, Bruno Mars and The 1975 have all climbed up the charts following their appearances at the 2017 BRIT Awards.

Despite there being just 30 hours between the BRITs screening and the cut-off point for the latest charts, all three acts still registered notable rises, according to Official Charts Company data.

Katy Perry’s Chained To The Rhythm moved up the singles chart 7-5 on sales of 38,730 – the only existing Top 10 song to reach a new peak this week.

Meanwhile, Bruno Mars experienced the biggest leap up the singles chart, after his single That’s What I Like rocketed from 192-78 after his BRITs showing.

In the albums chart, The 1975 benefitted significantly from their BRITs performance and British Group Award triumph. Their latest album, I Like It When You Sleep, For You Are So Beautiful Yet So Unaware of It, jumps 52-18. A 25-week high for the record, sales were up a whopping 67.11% at 3,690, while their eponymous 2013 debut jumps 85-59 on sales of 1,703.
