BBC Radio 1Xtra has today (July 26) announced the line-up for this year’s 1Xtra Live. Chance The Rapper, Pusha T, Jorja Smith, Chip, Ella Mai, Mist, Mr Eazi and Yxng Bane will all play the station’s flagship live music event, with more acts to be confirmed at a later date.
1Xtra Live In London will be hosted by 1Xtra DJs at O2 Arena on Saturday, September 22. Tickets will go on sale at 6pm, during MistaJam’s show, on Monday July 30 and will be available via the BBC Radio 1Xtra website bbc.co.uk/1xtra.
In 2017, the 1Xtra Live event held in Manchester sold out within forty-five minutes.
Speaking about the event, Chance The Rapper said: “I’m very excited to be performing at the O2, let’s turn it into the O4. I haven’t played London in a minute you know, I’d say I’ve got quite a few fans out there so I’m ready to get back and playing with y’all. The 1Xtra audience can expect to see the best show they’ve ever seen.”
1Xtra’s A.Dot added: “It’s that time again! 1Xtra are hitting the road for another unmissable night of music and I’m so glad that we’ll be bringing the show to London this year. Every single year 1Xtra Live is the party that everyone wants to be at so grab your tickets early. It’s gonna be massive.”
The event will be broadcast on BBC Radio 1Xtra, BBC Radio 1 and BBC Asian Network from 7pm on the September 22 and can be viewed online at bbc.co.uk/1xtra.
