A new, large-scale exhibition dedicated to the history of British music is set to open in Liverpool next year.
Announced by the British Music Experience (BME), the permanent exhibition, located in Liverpool’s historic Cunard Building, will take a look at how British music, from rock and pop to funk and dance, has influenced culture over the past 70 years.
The exhibition, which spans 16,000 sq ft will feature over 600 iconic artefacts and over 90 hours of audio-visual content, along with eight interactive spaces exploring different genres of music. These include skiffle, rock ‘n’ roll, psychedelia, glam rock, punk, house and Britpop.
BME is operated by TBL International, which operates the award-winning Titanic Belfast.
The British music exhibition will open on February 11th 2017.
