The two albums Frank Ocean released this year, Blonde and Endless, will not be eligible to win Grammy Awards in 2017 because they were not submitted for consideration.
The 28-year-old R&B singer released visual album Endless on August 18 followed by third official album Blonde two days later, sparking debate over Universal's proposed ban of exclusive streaming. Both releases sit comfortably within the Grammy cut-off date of September 30. The deadline the releases had to be submitted by is not public, but a Grammy representative confirmed to Billboard that they had not been submitted.
Blonde was released to enthusiastic reviews across the board and debuted at No.1 in the UK and America.
