The BRIT Awards 2019 with Mastercard has today (January 16) revealed its all-star British line-up of 2019 BRIT performers. George Ezra, Little Mix and Jorja Smith – who have eight nominations between them – are the first live acts confirmed to perform at this year’s ceremony.
The BRITs returns on Wednesday February 20 at The O2 Arena, London. The venet will be broadcast exclusively on ITV and presented by returning host Jack Whitehall.
Speaking about the line-up, Jason Iley, BRITs chairman and chairman/CEO of Sony Music UK & Ireland said: “I’m delighted to welcome George back to the BRITs to cap off what has been such an exceptional year for him, particularly with the success of his second UK No. 1 album as well as having two of the biggest-selling singles of the year. It is an absolute pleasure to have Little Mix return to the stage following their spectacular and explosive opening performance at the 2017 BRIT Awards. Finally, welcoming the hugely talented Jorja Smith back to perform is particularly special after she won the 2018 Critics’ Choice Award and performed an unforgettable duet with Rag’N’Bone Man. It has been another fantastic year for British music and we are very proud to kick off the first announcement with such a wealth of homegrown talent.”
The nominations for the BRIT Awards 2019 was revealed last Saturday (January 12), with Anne-Marie, Dua Lipa, George Ezra and Jorja Smith leading the pack. You can see the full list of nominations here.
Clara Amfo and Alice Levine will be back to host this year’s Red Carpet show on ITV2 on the night of the awards for the third year running.
