Dance duo Leftwing: Kody have signed to Columbia Records.
The house act have made a streaming impact with I Feel It, which has sales of 35,773, according to the Official Charts Company.
Leftwing: Kody, who have 561,748 monthly listeners on Spotify, have also remixed Mabel and MK. They have received support from BBC Radio 1.
“These guys make uplifting anthemic house music and signing them to Columbia is a no-brainer for me,” said Columbia A&R Preye Crooks. “There’s plenty more to come too!”
“I feel truly blessed to have this opportunity to work with a label with such a rich history in our music culture,” says Jon Kong, AKA Leftwing. “Coming from the underground, it’s a huge compliment that the A&Rs are into our music and I’m excited to spread my wings as a producer spanning multiple genres and collaborating with other artists on the roster.”

Production partner Chris Adie, AKA Kody, added: “To fulfil an ambition I’ve had since I was young means the world to me. I always dreamed of signing to a major label but never thought it would become a reality. To join Columbia and be a part of a roster of artists that I’ve admired for so long and to have the opportunity to work with so many talented people is both humbling and exciting.”
The duo join a dance roster that includes Calvin Harris and Mark Ronson. They also run their own Lost label.
Previously signed to Toolroom, Leftwing: Kody have an Ibiza residency at the label’s event on the island as well as US shows. Their UK winter shows include Motion in Bristol and the Warehouse Project in Manchester with Marc ‘MK’ Kinchen’s Area 10 party.
