Jorja Smith has been selected by Vevo as its second Lift act of 2018. Anne-Marie was previously selected as a Lift artist.
Launched back in 2011, Vevo’s artist development programme Lift throws the spotlight on new talent. Vevo Lift alumni include Sam Smith, Years & Years and Rag‘N’Bone Man, who all gave their fans a glimpse into their early careers via a series of Vevo videos.
Launching with an exclusive performance of Where Did I Go? on the Vevo YouTube channel on August 10, Smith's Lift series will see the Hyundai Mercury Prize nominee and BRIT's Critics Choice Winner 2018 release an assortment of live performances and behind-the-scenes videos.
Over the coming weeks, Vevo will release further videos, including exclusive live performances of tracks from Smith’s debut album Lost & Found as well as behind-the-scenes footage from her sell-out show at Somerset House.
Smith commented: “Thank you so much to Vevo for choosing me as part of their Lift series for 2018! It has been amazing working with the team on the pieces we’ve created together - from footage behind the scenes at my Somerset House show, to in the studio - and loads more that I can’t wait for you to see!”
Smith embarked on a sold-out UK tour earlier this February and is set to complete further dates this October, including two sell-out dates at O2 Brixton Academy.
