Dizzee Rascal is to replace Liam Gallagher on tonight's second episode of BBC One’s new primetime music TV show, Sounds Like Friday Night.
The former Oasis frontman cancelled his performance via Twitter this afternoon (November 3), saying: “Sorry I can't perform tnight on Sounds Like Friday Night as I've been told to rest my voice by my doctor as you were LG x”.
Gallagher performed for BBC Radio 2 In Concert last night (November 2) and appears in a pre-recorded episode of Celebrity Gogglebox on Channel 4 tonight.
The BBC told Music Week in a statement: "Liam Gallagher is unable to perform tonight as he has been advised by his doctor to rest his voice. We wish him a speedy recovery."

His appearance on the BBC’s new show, also the subject of a recent Music Week cover story, had been much anticipated.
