Music retail has high hopes for the Q4 release schedule with potential for an “enormous” Taylor Swift album alongside a predicted “huge seller” from Sam Smith.
“It’s definitely stronger than last year, there are a few big returning artists so it’s going to be less reliant on the heritage [acts],” HMV music manager John Hirst told Music Week.
“Obviously the gifting market is huge but it’s great to have contemporary releases in there as well to broaden the scope.”
