Record Store Day 2018: Release line-up, WMG expands 'Crawl' events

Warner Music Group has unveiled plans for the third year of its Record Store Crawls, which are expanding to Europe in 2018.

The first of this year’s Crawls will take place in New York City and Berlin on Record Store Day – April 21– while the remainder will take place from May to October. The London date will be confirmed later this year.

Record Store Crawl will release exclusive vinyl at participating indie retailers. Titles include works by Alice Cooper, The Notorious B.I.G., Royal Blood and INXS.

Participants will be escorted by bus to some of each city’s best record stores, with performances from various artists along the way.

On April 21, more than 240 shops will participate in the UK’s 11th edition of Record Store Day, the biggest number of stores to date.
