Robert Plant, Mumford & Sons and Emily Barker were among the big winners at the third annual UK Americana Awards, which took place in London last night (February 1).
During a ceremony at the Hackney Empire, host Bob Harris OBE presented Plant with the AMA-UK's Lifetime Achievement Award.
Plant was also presented with the award for Best Selling UK Americana Album of 2017 for his album Carry Fire. It has sold 54,580 copies, according to the Official Charts Company.
Billy Bragg and Jed Hilly, executive director of the US Americana Music Association, gave the Trailblazer Award to Mumford & Sons.
Emily Barker received the UK Artist Of The Year trophy from Frank Turner, Phoenix singer/songwriter Courtney Marie Andrews scooped the International Artist Award and Robert Vincent’s I’ll Make The Most Of My Sins won UK Album Of The Year.
Music Week On The Radar alumni The Wandering Hearts received the Bob Harris Emerging Artist Award.
Robert Plant and the Sensational Space Shifters, Courtney Marie-Andrews, Imelda May, Angaleena Presley, Emily Barker, Robert Vincent, The Wandering Hearts, Aaron Lee Tasjan and Worry Dolls all performed on the night.
