Sam Fender has confirmed details of this third album, People Watching.
Ahead of the announcement today, the album had already been available to pre-order, while the upcoming People Watching arena tour had already offered a clue to the title of the LP.
People Watching will be released on February 21, 2025 via Polydor Records. The album has been recorded in London and LA with producers Markus Dravs and The War On Drugs’ Adam Granduciel, a musician Fender has long admired. Fender and his band were heavily involved with the production.
Fender peaked at No.1 with his 2019 debut album, Hypersonic Missiles (458,560 sales to date – Official Charts Company) and the 2021 follow-up, Seventeen Going Under (377,819 sales to date). The latter album’s title track made the Top 3 and has consumption of 2,121,264.
Sam Fender’s The People Watching Tour launches at 3Arena, Dublin on December 2, and then takes in shows at First Direct Arena Leeds, Utilita Arena, Birmingham and Utilita Arena, Newcastle, with two nights each at Co-op Live, Manchester, The O2, London and OVO Hydro Glasgow.
Fender plays dates across Europe with support from CMAT in March 2025. A festival appearance at Rock Werchter, Belgium is lined up for July 5.
