The grime world descended upon Camden’s Roundhouse last night for the second ever KA & GRM Daily Rated Awards – a celebration of the best British urban music.
Winners – who were all decided by the fans – included Tim Westwood, who picked up the GRM Legacy award and Giggs, who won Artist Of The Year. Elsewhere, Skepta picked up the Best Video award for Man (Gang), and Kano received best album for Made In The Manor.
Other awards included Best Breakthrough, which went to Brit MC AJ Tracey; Best DJ, picked up by Charlie Sloth; Producer Of The Year, which was taken home by Rude Kid; and Best Track, which went to Abra Cadabra for Robbery Remix Ft. Krept & Konan. See the full list of winners below.
Stand-out performances of the evening included Craig David and Big Narstie, who teamed up to perform their collaborative single When The Baseline Drops, and Giggs, who took to the stage to play his latest single Whippin Excursion, plus other tracks old and new.
A fitting tribute was also paid to music industry lawyer Richard Antwi, who passed away in February, aged 38, and was responsible for establishing the careers of Lethal Bizzle, Wretch 32, Tinie Tempah and many more.
