Walking On Cars added to BRITs Week line-up

Walking On Cars have become the final act to be added to the line-up for BRITs Week with War Child 2017.

The five-piece, from County Kerry, Ireland, will play at Oslo in east London on Friday February 24. The band were one of 10 emerging artists to receive a European Border Breakers Award this year.

Tickets for the show are available via a prize draw from Friday (February 10) at 9am, tickets are on general sale at the same time. Fans can enter the draw by making a £5 donation at www.britsweekwarchild.co.uk. Entries are unlimited. 

The BRITs Week with War Child gig series offers fans the chance to see some of the biggest names in music in intimate venues across London, while raising money for children whose lives have been affected by war.

In 2016, War Child raised a record breaking £564,768 together with O2 as part of BRITs Week, with thousands of people applying for tickets to see artists such as Bloc Party, Jamie XX, Florence + The Machine and Coldplay.

Wild Beasts, Paul Weller and Stefflon Don are among the other acts set to perform across the week. The full line-up is as follows:

Thursday Feb 16: An acoustic evening with Richard Hawley plus very special guest Paul Weller, Union Chapel

Monday Feb 20: Biffy Clyro, Shepherds Bush

Tuesday Feb 21: Basement Jaxx, Dingwalls

Tuesday Feb 21: (Polydor / Universal Night)   The 1975, The Dome, Tufnell Park

The BRIT Awards ceremony takes place on Wednesday, February, 22 at the O2 Arena in London. Ed Sheeran was recently revealed as the latest artist set to perform on the night, joining Skepta, Robbie Williams, Little Mix and more on the bill.
