Tiffany - I Just Wanna Dance

For those unfamiliar with the K-Pop world the chances are this cultural-crossover release will have come seemingly from nowhere; and for those au fait with all things K-Pop the release from Tiffany, while perhaps being expected, contains tracks featuring the unexpected.
LA-born singer and actress Tiffany is one of eight members in Girls’ Generation (boasting five Korean studio albums and three Japanese albums) with I Just Wanna Dance EP her debut release. What can we expect from our bilingual Korea-via-California kween, 26 years of age? It turns out a seven-track EP of eclectic and electrifying electronic bangers - alongside a magnificent vocal range.
Lead single I Just Wanna Dance is straight out of the dangerously catchy Carly Rae Jepsen handbook of How To Make An ‘80s-Daubed Synth-Pop Hit, and therefore is just the very most fun.
But hello, just what does the following track Talk think it’s up to?
A dark spacious electro start morphs into an almost trap-inspired number that screams new-Ariana, which is remarkable since new-Ariana has only just come out. Added to this: a chorus with faint echoes of Alliyah’s Rock
The Boat, so lots of fire emojis here. Oh and fun fact: co-written by Nicola Roberts, is Talk. What Do I Do is also in the much-sought after banger territory, with both an original Korean language version and also an English version, so safe to say this may be a future single.
Perhaps one of the few K-Pop stars to break out into the West?
