Music Week’s Women In Music awards will return for a third year on Friday, November 11.
This year’s edition, organised by Music Week in partnership with AIM and UK Music, will once again be held at the Royal Garden Hotel in Kensington and hosted by BBC Radio 1’s Alice Levine.
“The Women In Music awards are an opportunity to shine a light on what already exists, but has been under-appreciated in the past – our brilliant women,” said AIM’s chair and CEO, Alison Wenham. “It’s a day out, it's a day to say, Thank you.”
“UK Music is proud to support Women in Music 2016,” added UK Music CEO Jo Dipple. “For one day, we can get together and celebrate the sisterhood’s contribution to this amazing industry. Women in Music is one day we can say, Back at you brother, we rock.”
Last year’s winners at Women In Music included Later… With Jools Holland producer Alison Howe (Media Pioneer) and Jo Charrington, SVP of A&R at Capitol Records, who received the new 2015 accolade, Businesswoman Of The Year. Other categories include Inspirational Artist, Campaigner and Rising Star.
Details of the nominations process and how to buy tickets will be coming at the beginning of July.
