Amazon Music reveals most streamed songs of 2017

Following a raft of end-of-year-data from streaming services, Amazon Music Unlimited has now revealed its most popular tracks and artists of the year in the UK.

The premium subscription service marked its first anniversary this year and has bolstered its mobile app with Alexa voice control.

Like the other platforms, Ed Sheeran performed strongly on Amazon Music Unlimited though he was surpassed by Luis Fonsi's Despacito as the most streamed song of the year.

The Amazon data also reveals the strength of catalogue and heritage artists on the platform, which may well be partly driven by its growing Echo voice control user base.
