Virtual reality music platform MelodyVR has announced a VR content creation and distribution agreement with AWAL.
The deal follows a number of previous partnerships MelodyVR has entered into since its inception spanning labels, publishers and venues. According to an official press release, the agreement with AWAL means “MelodyVR will have the right to distribute both live and pre-recorded VR content created with AWAL artists, which include Lauv, Tom Misch, The Wombats, The Kooks, deadmau5, Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds, and more.”
Speaking about the deal, Anthony Matchett, founder and CEO MelodyVR, said: “I’m pleased to enter into this agreement with AWAL and look forward to working with their fresh and exciting roster of independent talent, to create ground breaking immersive virtual reality experiences for their fans.”
Last month, Melody VR launched their first Live in VR event with a headline performance from Liam Payne conducted in real time via the MelodyVR app.
