Brighton club and live music venue The Haunt is moving to bigger premises on September 19.
The current venue will close on September 1, when The Haunt will begin the move to take over five floors in the Savoy Centre (formally the ABC Cinema) in Pool Valley, next door to the current club.
It means an increase in capacity from 350 to 825 in the modular setting. The retracting walls will allow the space to be adjusted to 350-, 600- and 825-capacity formations, alongside a 150-capacity second room for more intimate gigs.
The Haunt has showcased acts in the early stages of their career, including Royal Blood, Fontaines DC, James Bay, Twenty One Pilots, Jorja Smith, Freya Ridings, Kate Tempest, Tom Odell, Haim, Tom Misch and The War on Drugs.
It’s also hosted intimate underplay shows for Primal Scream, The Charlatans, The Kooks, Architects, 2ManyDJs, Beach House and Professor Green.
The bigger venue has 50 shows on sale this year, including Fat White Family, Swim Deep, Midnight Beast and Oscar Jerome.
