The Society Of Ticket Agents And Retailers (STAR) has confirmed membership for face value resale company Twickets.
Launched in 2015, Twickets has worked with artists including Stormzy, Ed Sheeran, Foo Fighters, Arctic Monkeys, Adele, Mumford & Sons and The 1975, and announced its first official tie-in with a UK theatre group, Lloyd Webber Theatres, earlier this month.
The platform has helped more than half a million fans resell their tickets to other fans – receiving three million unique visitors to its marketplace each year.
Twickets’ founder Richard Davies, said: “We are delighted to become members of STAR. This is a key development for us as it reaffirms the business as the legitimate face of resale, working to bring fairness and transparency to event-goers everywhere. Twickets is the first authorised ticket resale specialist to join STAR, the self-regulatory body for the UK ticket industry. STAR's members also include major ticket agencies as well as numerous music, theatre, sports and entertainment venues across the country.
