UK management company Karma Artists has hired LA–based executive Anna Schlafer as it expands its operations in the US.

Schlafer will work across the Karma Artists Management and Karma Songs publishing rosters.

She worked across their global roster and was instrumental in setting up collaborations and securing various placements across multiple genres, including James Arthur’s Say You Won’t Let Go as well as releases with Jason Derulo, Kali Uchis, Aloe Blacc, Kelly Clarkson, Quinn xcii, David Guetta, Elderbrook, Kygo and AI, among others.

During her tenure at Kobalt, Anna also worked closely with MXM, Monsters & Strangerz, David Hodges, Pop Wansel, Oak Felder, Ariel Rechtshaid & Heavy Duty, Axident, Coffee, Linus Wiklund, Al Shux, Starsmith, Pablo Bowman, Gary Go, Iain Archer, and many more.

Karma Artists director Jordan Jay said: “We are thrilled to welcome Anna to the Karma team to help expand our reach within the US market and build upon the success our clients are already enjoying. With the current restrictions in place, Ross and I felt it was important to ensure Karma and its clients are fully represented in the US and after working with Anna in her previous publishing role for many years we feel she’s the perfect match to further grow both our Management and Publishing businesses there.”

Schlafer said: "I’ve known Jordan and Ross for many years. They have built something exciting and I look forward to working across the rosters.”

Recent successes for Karma include Lighter by Nathan Dawe (written and produced by client Tre Jean-Marie) and two songs on the new album by Keith Urban, which were written and produced by clients PhD and Cutfather.
