Broadcaster Shaun Keaveny has been announced as host of the 2017 Music Week Sync Awards.
The BBC Radio 6 Music presenter (pictured) will hold court at this year’s ceremony, which takes place at 8 Northumberland Avenue, on Thursday, October 19 and has attracted a record-breaking haul of entries.
“Shaun’s passion for music made him an obvious choice and we are delighted to have him on board for the 2017 Sync Awards,” said Music Week editor Mark Sutherland. “His dry wit will be most welcome and we plan to ensure he is terribly hungover for his Breakfast Show the next morning.”
The shortlists for 24 categories – including the new awards for Best Social Media/Online Partnership, Best Branded Entertainment, Music Supervisor – Video Games, Best Sync – Video Game Soundtrack, Overall Film Soundtrack and Overall TV Series Soundtrack – will be announced in the next few weeks.
Table sales are now open and already selling fast. The Sync Awards is supported this year by our platinum partner Tape and official event partner PRS For Music. Music Week is also working closely with the UK & European Guild of Music Supervisors this year as a media partner.
